I knew it was a bad sign when I saw that truck was piled to the top haphazardly and boxes and furniture were falling out when they unloaded it.

I wasn't really concerned until I went to turn on my TV and have a nice relaxing evening only to find out it's destroyed.

From a $3200 quote to paying y'all nearly $5200 and now it's costing me even more because you didn't respect my items.

I'm just sad and disappointed.

This company will definitely delay past the absolute last date of delivery, and will essentially mislead and give the runaround. They picked up my items on 10/25 and didn't get them until 12/19 - essentially went almost 2 months sleeping on an airbed + sitting on the floor. Found out they put my items in a warehouse somewhere even though I checked NO for storage. All of these updates are because I spent time trying to reach them for updates and not because they respect or care about customers & reached out with updates. Get this, they charge $650 for each day customer delays receiving but were 8 days late& reimbursed $240. I was charged an extra $407 (shuttle fee) they never spoke to me/explained to me about (sent an email to ask but never got a response)+ $600 to the guy moving the items from the truck (on the elevator) to my place. They lost/misplaced the footboard on my bedframe& parts were broken which I just spent $700 to buy a new one to replace (their ridiculous claims process would only have provided at most $60-$100 for all items lost). So a total extra ~$1700 was spent just in the last 36 hours not planned for.

They have no respect, empathy or care for customer quick to point out "following" contract,i.e., not necessarily looking to act in good faith. If you want financial, emotional and mental wellbeing during a move, do NOT use this company. Packing your stuff in an SUV and making multiple trips interstate (which sounds like a nightmare) pales in comparison to dealing with them . Please please avoid them at all costs and Guardian Van Lines if you use a broker

Think of them as that toxic gas lighting ex that you couldn't have anticipated could have left you this traumatized but did & essentially becomes a life lesson of doing all kinds of homework & research before committing.

My company hired Countrywide for a corporate move from Seattle to Chicago. Countrywide contracted Princz Moving to do the job. Immediately it became clear there was a problem with this company. The move was scheduled for a weekend move as it was an office building we were moving from, they showed up almost 2 hours late. They advised they didn't know they were putting furniture on pallets (they, had the contract in hand that mentioned pallets) it took them almost two hours to begin actually moving and putting furniture on the pallets. At almost 5 pm (when we were supposed to be done) I caught the lead or whatever he was sitting behind pallets and furniture in the ally watching TV!

Then they asked to take a dinner break. I had to leave by 7:00 pm, I had a proxy for our company come and supervise, the lead assured me they only had maybe an hours to go, by 9 pm, the proxy texted, he had been told they had to get another truck, because the one they had was not going to hold all of the office furniture. They hadn't brought a big enough truck for the move they were contracted for.

It went downhill from there, they didn't show up the next day, they couldn't tell me where they had left my office furniture when they came back with the same truck two days later, when the move continued 3 day later, they had moved our furniture from the ally to the building parking garage. Immediately jammed the garage door, wouldn't stop hitting the button after taking the door off the tracks. I actually had to call the police to have them removed from the premises. Almost a week later the move was completed by a different crew. However, I saw the psychopath driver hiding in the truck cab. He must be the only one to drive. After all of this, when my company made a claim for the damage to the garage door, they tried to offer $70.00 as compensation for the door. Needless to say, we have given the issues to our attorneys. Beware

They also routinely avoid weighing trucks. Instead, they charge by cubic feet, which lets them inflate volume after loading and dramatically increase the final bill — often far beyond the original quote.
